MEN’S MINISTRY

Our Men’s Ministry is committed to establishing long-term friendships, fellowship opportunities, biblical teaching, and having fun. We biblically train and equip men to be spiritual leaders in their homes, in the church, and in the workplace. Various growth opportunities are planned and organized throughout the year including weekly Bible Studies and Men’s Retreats.

HOUSE CHURCH FELLOWSHIP

Some call them Small Groups, Life Groups, but we call them “House Churches”, because that’s precisely what they are! Our house churches are a great opportunity to spend time in fellowship, get to know each other, and grow together in your faith. All are welcome! If you are new to our church family, feel free to visit any of our groups at any time and get plugged in immediately!

Many of our house church initiatives are through the following:

  1. Sermon-based Home Groups

Consists a group of 10-20 individuals that meet 6-8 weeks several times throughout the year to dive deeper into the sermon that was previously covered on Sunday Morning.

  2. One-to-One Bible Reading

This group of 2 individuals of your choosing (Christian or non-Christian), to sit and read the bible together with guided questions provided by Steel Valley Church. This is a way to grow in your knowledge of God in a way that is simple and personal, and that also doesn’t rely on getting your reading partner to a church program or event.

INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE STUDENT MINISTRY

Our international ministry team actively pursues genuine relationships at Youngstown State University through consistent engagement in university events, international fellowship on campus, and frequent dinners throughout the year. We strategically partner with Friends Around The World at YSU where we are able to host events in the church and other various opportunities to proclaim the Gospel and share Jesus Christ with the unreached people groups local to the campus.

CARING WELL TEAM

Churches should be a refuge for those who have experienced abuse. But, too often, survivors haven’t found the protection they deserve and the care they need from the church. This team will launch May 3, 2020, as a unified call to action nationwide that Steel Valley Church is taking part in to take a stand against abuse and protect/prevent our church from any instances of such abuse.
